About The Camp
The Young Funny Youth Comedy Camp is a training grounds to develop kids charismatic personalities and witty remarks into comedic gold. Young Funny Youth Comedy Camp is for ages 10-18. The camp teaches the fundamentals and basics of comedy. Campers are introduced to stand up, sketch, improv, mime, and physical comedy. Through this camp children will not only learn comedy but self confidence as well as stage presence.
LaToya Tennille
Camp Director
LaToya Tennille, is a comedian, host, writer and entrepreneur. She is the founder of VivaciousOne Entertainment, LOL Memphis Improv Troupe, and the Memphis Urban Laughs Comedy Festival, making her the first female in Memphis to found a major, African American centered comedy event. Her accolades include being featured on Kevin Hart’s “Hart of the City on Comedy Central and winning “Best Female Comedian” at the 2017 Artsy awards and Entertainer of the Year in 2018. This Memphis native is uses comedy camps and a host other events to give back to the youth and unite people with the spirit of laughter.
